Isn't hoping for some one to win becuase the are a certain skin color just a racist as rooting against them becuase they are a certain color?

Booth involve judging some one by the color of their skin, not the content of their character.

Didn't MLK teach us that is wrong?

I have stated on here many times that he has done nothing for any Illinois veteran. I will take back that remark now. My neighbor got a letter back from Obama today. It only took him 7 months to reply!

True but from what I know and see of the guy I like him, regardless of his race. I don't know enough yet to vote for him but I'm sure I will have more chances soon to learn about his character andstances on the issues. I have always thought race be damned, it should never be a factor in any equation. Really I'd like McCain to run but God knows the people don't choose the President.

I pay no attention to his race. He is intelligent, articulate and charismatic; the exact opposite of our current president and far better than anyone the Republicans are offering so far. The political right fears him far more than they do Hillary....hmmm, I wonder why?

I don't like him because he's mixed. I like him because he's smart, and when I hear him talk I start to think positively about the direction that the country can go in. That's tough for a negative SOB like me.
He's also from Chicago, my home town, and ran for congressperson in my district in 2000. He gets props for that.

I do not care for Obama's stance on illegal immigration and will not be voiting for him. He wants to give Amnesty to the illegals. My vote will be against him because of his stance, not based on what color he is. Besides, he is half African American and half white.

I honestly don't know enough about Obama to like, or dislike him. I would sure like to know more about him before I decide on whom I cast my ballot.
I wish his book was available in paperback so I could find out more. Would you consider buying me a copy? Please?

All I really know about him thus far is that he is EXTREMELY well-spoken...

Compared to George Bush..that really shines forth when he speaks in public....

What I have read and heard so far I like...... it seems the Republicans are more worried about him than Democrats are.
