I'm with you...... I don't get it....I jumped on the bandwagon and signed up, but I just never caught the fever. I saw a program on television about the phenomena around social networking.....we have become the computer age...and people no longer call, or write letters or go to the mall to hang out.....they instant message, e-mail, surf the web....online dating for instance.........my gosh...I met my wife on Yahoo chat 5 years ago. I shop online, I pay my bills on line, I get my news and mail online.....why not ---> I guess.
Anyway social networking has gone from Reality to the web....so MySpace just came along at the right time to embrace this phenomena.

Children who can't wait to be adults, will often flaunt themselves in ways they think are "adult-like". They do not realize that full maturity, real adult attitudes, and personal responsibility, are impossible until the brain is fully developed, at about age 25.
There are some exceptions to every rule, which accounts for younger people who are very mature, and the older people of both genders who prey upon the children. (This was the next question, right?).
Guess what! The auto insurance industry agrees with the psychologists! Both are supported by the facts, that the accident rates drop dramatically for the age group of 25 and above.
And, it is not EVERY kid in the world, it is the 1%'ers which is like 3.5 million kids in the USA. Participation also depends on the culture and propriety towards social morals, that the society imposes.

wow thats not even close to what myspace is all about! I found long lost friends on there..that i hadnt seen in 15+years! Not to mention its a great way of keeping in touch with friends, family and people ive worked with over the years. Plus, you can find jobs on myspace. Its a great marketing tool for people who own small businesses (like myself). overall.. ive been with myspace since the first few months of its existance and im thrilled to see how much its grown. Not everyone needs a profile, but its fun! its a great way of meeting people in your area as well. anyways.. i never really thought of it as a marketing tool for myself personally..but for my businesses its great!
try it out=) if you need a new friend.. im there to help lol.

Thank you! You are so brave!!! I have been wondering this myself, but afraid that everyone and thier "friends" will attack me.
It's nothing but pictures and music.
Everyone appears to be so fun! out going! and oh sooo energetic!
Pictures of everyone they ever met in life!
Every song they ever loved or liked since birth!
If i think of more.. i will be back........

'Monkey see--monkey do'--that's whats up.
Most MySpace is high school--and it's the 'in' thing to do right now.
