My grandfather once told me that friends come and go, but family is forever, but that doesn't mean friend aren't important. There are just more boundaries. You can have good friendships and fight for them, and they could last or maybe not. Only time will tell.

real friends are forever. I have a friend that has been there for me through thick and thin. And we have been friends for about 15 years. Then I have a so called friend, that if I have what she wants she is my good friend, if I don't then she doesn't even come around for about a year, until she needs something else. Best thing I found is to try and make friends with people in your age bracket. They tend to be the true friends. I also have a friend that is in her early 20's and who has a baby who is 2, the same age as my youngest grandson. She use to live here by me and then her and my friend broke up within 10 months of the baby's birth. I no longer talk to my friend, cause he just plumb messed up, but I talk to her and the baby long distance once a week or more. So depending on the person, you can very well make a friend with someone and they will be there no matter what. That is a true friend.

Some are, but most people that we consider friends are probably not going to stick around if the going gets rough and requires something from them. If you find one that does stand by you in hard times, you have a gem. Just be sure to return the favor when it's your turn.

Friends are just people, some might be forever, some might be in it for the good times. I have lost many friends due to depression, they were there until I had a bad time, then, they were gone. Not really their fault, they just couldn't handle the saddness. In answer to your question, it depends.

yes some cuz my bestfrend is marisol and we hav been frends since 6thgrade and im in 8 grade now and she is in highskool yet she always helps me w/ my problems and is always defending me.yes there are some true frends in this world u just have find one.
