Normal turtle wax --no. Turtle Carnauba Wax on the other hand can't be beat for the price. It has one of the best shines---but i would never recommended it on a dark painted car or any car that i owned. I would rather pay a lot more for a little bit better quality. A lot of waxes contain small abrasives--which they should not. Waxing is normally done in 3 stages for cars that are driven on the road. You use a cleaner, a polish, then a wax. Cleaners have a fine abrasive, polish has even a finer abrasive to clean up the scratches from the cleaner. I have 3 1968-1971 classic cars--because they never see much road time, little sun, the last thing i want is small scratches---no matter how shiny it is. I stick to 5 waxes (no gazes) Lane, Pinnacle, Mothers, Zymol, and meguires. I would say that I love Lane the best--but, some waxes are better on light colors and some are not. Zymol and Pinnacle -are best on light colors, Lane--best on reds and blues, Mothers and Meguires best on blacks, dark greens, and purple. ---but that is only my observations. I have used pure #1 Brazilian carnauba wax--was too hard to apply.

Wax needs to be done often if the vehicle is kept outside. You don t need to spend a lot of cash. Get the hard clear carnuba or yellow wax. Meguires or Mothers are super products. I also like the P21S. You can spend up to 1000.00 dollars or more on wax. Dont waste the money. Before waxing the paint should be particulate free. Happy Motoring! I have tried & experimented with different car waxes in the arizona sun over the years. so about 1 years ago i bought some meguires wax also some mothers wax & some eagle one & turtle carnuba wax applyed it to different fenders qarterpanels & areas on my new ford truck.after10 months i could not tell any differences in smothness color or water beading.so i have come to the opinyon that the high dollar waxes you are paying for is all the advertizment at the car shows.but that is just my opinyon i have 4 great cars & like lookin good in them

Zymol Cleaner Wax- smells good and looks good (after you rid it of splotchy patches) but dusts a lot, lasts only 2 weeks at most. 3 out of 10

Meguiar's Cleaner Wax- lasts 2.5 weeks, so-so looks 3/10

Mother's Cleaner Wax - see above 3/10

Meguiar's NXT Paste- awesome wax, very easy to use, looks like a million specially on dark colors, 8/10

Eagle One Nanowax Spray- not a standalone wax (more like a booster wax) but very durable, very easy to use and very wet looking. Covers swirls 8.4/10

Duragloss Aquawax- see Nanowax except a lot more glossy but less wet looking. 8.9/10

Meguiar's Gold Class - almost as good looking as Zymol CW but lasts only 1 week 3.5/10

Mother's Reflections- very rich carnauba look, durable, very easy to use awesome on dark colors, 8.7/10

Mother's Synwax- same as Reflections but more shiny less rich, 8.6/10

S100 carnauba- found at Harley Davidson dealers, very easy to use, the best on silver cars

Klasse - the best in my opinion, 2 part system with All-In-One and Sealant Glaze, extremely durable, extremely shiny, better than Zaino.

Turtle wax? Uh..no..

Try Zymol or any high quality pure caranuba wax.

Turtle wax is junk made mostly from petroleum products.

Griot's Garage has the best line of wax and polish i have ever tried and i have tried alot of them..They have different stages of wax and polish for different jobs..It is not cheap but it is real good!Here is the site!

As i know Zymol is the best, but i use meguairs gold all the time and it really worked well.. personally i think it looked better than turtle was carnouba
