My God - Folic Acid is important, but not the most important! Protein is the most important for your baby who is building brain cells every day, and for the mother to be strong. Drink a lot of water - it will keep you hydrated, and your amniotic fluid levels high and healthy. It is more important to get vitamins from actual food than from a pill - the body absorbs natural nutrients at a much higher and healthier rate.
I have attached the Tom Brewer diet - he is a doctor who never saw a case of pre-eclampsia and treated thousands of pregnant women. Good luck!

Get some prenatal vitamins ASAP. Lots of water, milk, healthier foods if you don't already do this. Limit the caffeine and the greasy foods as much as possible. Go ahead and give into those cravings once in the while, just don't take it overboard. And if you have a regular exercise routine, it is OK to continue it. I would ask your Dr. what exercises are good and bad though, just in case. Obviously you don't want to do anything that is too extensive.
Hope this helps. Congrats and Good Luck.

FOLIC ACID and a HEALTHY DIET. Now is not the time to over eat or to starve one's self. Folic acid is key in preventing neural tube defects (failur of the nervous system to completely close) they can be serious, baby's barin essentiall absent, or relatively minor, verebra not completly closed. But are almost 100% preventable.
Folate is a common additive in most fortified wheats, but most doctor's still recommend a supplement for pregnant or women trying to have a baby.

Go to the doctor regularly. Take prenatal vitamins. If you drink, smoke, take recreational drugs, drink caffeine or have unprotected sex with multiple partners - stop! Other than that, exercise, eat right, get plenty of rest and be happy!
Congratulations!
