What is a tampon brand that I can buy that is easy to put in and comfortable? I prefer plastic over cardboard. I'm 14 and I tried my mothers but cardboard is not comfortable to me, she said she will buy me some plastic ones. I was thinking of that new sport one since I'm a cheerleader and it's hard to cover while in a skirt and when your heavy. What brand do you think is best?

Pearl, Sport, and Gentle Glide... definitely great!!!
Kotex is also good b/c they only have plastic applicators.

Tampax Pearl is most comfortable but I bleed heavy & not even the Super Plus does the job. If you bleed heavy, use the Pearl with a thin pad as well.

I couldn't wear tampons for the longest time (I HATE those stupid cardboard ones!! and my mother in high school tried to get me to use the ones by OB you put in with your finger!)...
I can't wear any other kind but Platex Gentle Glide!!!! They are simply the best!!

They have brands that are for young girls like yourself. They are relatively thin and easy to insert (Original Tampax Slender). You may want to wear a panty liner with it also and check every couple of hours, because they don't hold a lot of fluid. I'd stay away from the "Super" and "Super Plus", because they are thicker and more difficult to insert.

tampax pearl is great, but if you're thinking about room in your gymbag, try the tampax compact, works great but don't have to worry about falling into "the wrong person's view'
