I think it is when he makes fun of people's weight. Like last year with that really good person who was in the final 12. I forgot her name it started with an M. Mandisa or something. But when she left the audition(after she made it) Simon says "Next year we will need a bigger stage" she can't help her weight. He says ppl can't sing but that's his opinion(which is sometimes true) but he should make fun of ppl's physical appereence when they cant help it.

while I do agree he knows his stuff musically..the comments are getting worse then ever, and by the way Paula and Randy laughed as well and have all along at some of the cruel things that have been said.bush monkey??WHy did he have to do that..his physical looks had nothing to do with choices he made...ie he was born that way..I think the talent part of the show is becoming more of an End result.Paula yells at Simon..then laughs with him later for other cruel remarks..ahhh show bizzzzzzz...I don't watch any more..

I think it was last season when Mandesia auditioned. She made it to Hollywood, but when we, including her, were watching it on TV when it first came on, the audition part, after her audition, when she left the room, Simon made a comment about her weight, stating, "We are going to have to build a new stage" or two stages. Something like that. When it got to the live part, she called him out on it, and told him she forgave him. I felt so bad for her. How Rude! To criticize their singing is one thing, but their weight, is totally different, she was a beautiful girl.

"you're fat"
k I dont think he used those exact words... he said something like
"you are too heavy to be an american idol" or something.
hahahaha That monkey guy was SO UGLY though!! He thought he was so ghetto and cool, but he's not. AND he did not call him a monkey, I think he ment to call him a sloth.. he seriously looked like one too hahahaha He didn't call him a monky, that idiot blowed that way out of proportion.
And people, remember this show is moderated by the same people who set out restrictions to prevent any future wardrobe malfunctions -- i think if they are ok with it, the american public should be too.

Recently he told a contestant that he looked like some creature out of the jungle. It was funny but he was totally out of line.

I think his recent statement to a contestant in Seattle was completely out of line. The one that he said looked like a jungle creature. I think calling him that was inappropriate. You can criticize a person's singing without making fun of them for something they can't control.

It upsets me when he picks on their appearance. The bush baby comment was cruel, as are his weight comments. While most of the people are probably overweight because of food addictions, you just never know if there is a legitimate problem.
If they are delusional, thinking they can sing or dance when they can't, then it is fair game. I always felt he was dead on about most people's talent. Although I disagreed with him on Taylor!

Referring to their eyes, he said they looked like an animal in the jungle, or something to that effect.
