I was wondering if anyone knew how much extras on TV and movie sets get paid on average?

My mother worked as an extra on the film "So I Married an Axe Murderer" and was paid $1026 (as she brought along her dog, who was also in the film) for one night's work

I was an extra on a television show and I can say that your pay depends on what you're doing. I made a good few hundred dollars for one day and didn't even have to speak.

Extras don't get paid at all unless they actually have a speaking line and then it's only about $50.00 per sentence.

99.9% of the people with non-speaking extra roles get paid nothing.
