In Oct. 2003 I had a miscarriage with my 1st at 3 months pregnant. It took me 1 yr 5 months to conceive again with my now healthy 13 month old. I want another baby and have tried for 8 months without luck. I expereinced an ovarian cyst rupture in Oct. 2006 plus I have 35 day cycles and sometimes 36 day ones what could improve my chances of conceiving? Or what might be the problem? Thanks for the time. Also I track my ovulation and period.

OK, this may be a little gross, but I swear by it and it worked for my friend who actually told me about it. She said the 2 days you first begin ovulating are your most fertile. So about 14 days after the start of your period, you'll notice a change in the discharge and it looks very mucusy. That day is the day to try!

Took me 2 months to get pregnant. And I have irregular cycles.

The day right after your period stops is a good day because its all new eggs. Did you have the cyst removed? Ive heard the mornings is a good time to try because it has something to do with your temperature. Birth control can delay your pregnancy. I was on the depo provera shot and it took me a little over a year when i went off the shot to become pregnant. When the good lord decides your ready for another baby it will happen just keep trying. A little tip, dont get up right away after intercourse, lay still there for a while.

We are by no means the average couple. We have been trying for 6 years and for years, thought that it was due to combined male/female causes. Then, we found out that even if we did get pregnant, there is only a 20% chance that I could carry to term. I don't want to say that she should continue to wait and relax, because I hate hearing that. But if her doctor says that she can conceive, she should trust that and work with him. There are many treatments for PCOS (glucophage, weight loss, etc).
