R nintendo ds games compatible with Gameboy advance, and the same way with GA + NDs?

ok i know that this is a wierd question, but my brother has the game Harvest moon, harvest moon is available only for nintendo ds, and he has a gameboy advace, but it would seem wierd if they were compatible but, i don't know. please, cann you also help me in another little thing? decide for me NINTENDO DS or Game boy?

You cannot play nintendo DS games on a gameboy advance.But nintendo DS can play gameboy advance...but not gameboy color! Soo if I were you I would go with a DS or DS lite.

uh wow. ok. the game boy advance games work on the ds because theres a slot for the cartridge. now, look your game boy over quite thoroughly. youll notice that there is no DS card slot on your game boy anywhere.

and at this point in the game, theres not much point to buying a new game boy advance. its an out of date system. the DS can play game boy advance games as well as DS games. i dont see how that could possibly be worse then being able to play game boy advance games, and a slew of old game boy games that are no longer in production and arent sold at most stores.

DS games can't be played on a GBA...but a DS can play GBA games! So go with DS Lite!

No they are not, you can always play games from the generation before but not the generation after, NDS can play GBA games GBA can play GBC games GBC can play GB games
