I haven't heard the song yet, but it sounds like it's referencing his alcohol abuse problem. I love Keith!

I concept it has alway been Urban. I have 4 of his cd's and they're all Urban. Before he was once a nation artist, although, he was once in a rock band in Austrailia, so perhaps he spelled it the opposite direction.

I think the song talks about a guy who is very verbally abusive and controlling to a girl, always telling her she can't do things. She starts to believe his words and doesn't realize she has a choice not to stay with him She finally leaves. When he realizes she left because of how he treated her, he realizes he wants another chance. But she's long gone.

to me its like he is mad at himself for messing up a girls life... that girl finally got away and then he realized that she isnt coming back to him
