First of all, does everyone realize that we are only NOW talking about something that happened back in like October or something. Not that it in anyway justifies his actions. I think his lame excuse at the Golden Globes...."No, I did not call T.R. Knight a " was uncalled for. If you saw any of the backstage interviews where the Grey's cast was together, noticeably they are without T.R. The whole thing is old hat for this short tempered actor:

According to TMZ.com, in 1997 Washington, as a guest star on the TV show "High Incident," got into a fight with a crew member serious enough that police were called. Then, in 2000, Washington was shooting the show "Soul Food" for Showtime in Toronto when he grabbed a woman who was playing his wife and planted a "forceful, aggressive kiss" on her, rather than the peck on the cheek called for in the script. The irate actress screamed at Washington, and he screamed back. When the director and producer tried to intervene, Washington "went off" on them, too.

I think we can all agree that words hurt. But we need to remember that they are only words. I think we should all be asking what they are doing about this man's inability to control his anger, to the point that he is now putting his hands on people (constituting assault people!). At this point he had jeopardized his career several times....ask yourself...why haven't I seen him before in a great role....hello! He is hell to work with obviously.

Should he be fired...well, unfortunately, unless the producers of the show see that he is costing them profits...I don't see it coming. So, write to the sponsors of Grey's Anatomy, tell them you will actively boycott their products unless they call for the producers of the show to get rid of Washington, tell them that not only will YOU not use their products, but you will advise everyone you know in every way that you can not to use their products until Washington is removed from the role.

Hell...they'll find someone better for Christina to love.

What is the bigger question is the fact that he would make a statement in such a public forum? He has to realize that there are powerful homosexuals in the TV and Film community. Outside of Grey's Anatomy, who is going to hire him for any major roles? Maybe being an actor, he has to answer the,"Are you gay?" question all the time. Maybe all this Macho crap, is to dispel any rumors otherwise. This will probably have the opposite effect. If you are comfortable with your sexuality, straight or gay, you do not have to prove anything to anyone. Me thinks he does protest too much. Just using the word "f****t" is only for the shock value and nothing more, like other derogatory words used to describe other people that I refuse to repeat. Should he get fired, well yes. Not just because of this one event, but the disrupted nature he is causing on the set of Grey's Anatomy. The irony in this, is the fact I think he is a pretty good actor. It is amazing for me to see that someone with his talent would do something so stupid to sabotage his own career.

Not yet. He has 2 strikes against him now, but if he can mend things with Knight and Heigl, then I say let him stay.

One more problem with him might lead to the end of his days. You can only hope for the best.

BUT, in all honesty, I don't think the show would be missing much if he left. I can't say that about the other characters.

Well the character has been developed for a while, but if he keeps having anger issues, someone may sue, and he will be fired, or killed off the show, or leave the hospital or something.

No. But he's needs to take anger management classes. He's got serious issues and should keep his mouth shut off the set!
