Yes you can be both. Our constitution and all our freedoms were written by them .Devout Christians. If it were not for our forefathers, we would not have those freedoms. But power corrupts. Christians also fail to do all Jesus asked of them. They are not perfect. There is certainly corruption in our politics now. No doubt about it, but I was at the courthouse today and seen a sign up with a toll free number if anyone in public seen bribes, corruption, etc. I thought that was a wonderful move for this county !! It surely a positive thing, and a great start for some anyways ! Many people here are extremely patriotic and love the Holy Bible for its freedoms placed into the constitution, including freedom of worhsip, and the right to choose what one believes. Bush goofed, really, SMU is fighting the idea of a library because of the war. They didnt believe in it, but many would like the library for its history.

Because people not in the white house are saints?
Anyone can be Christian. That doesn't mean they will play by your rules for how a Christian acts.

Truth is every president has been a Christian. Corruption depends on one's intentions whether it be money, religion, one's own political agenda, and such.

What would you prefer? An atheist? I prefer a president who believes in God.
