We tend to hurt the people we love most without realizing it because we take for granted that they will love us no matter what we do. We know this, therefore, don't feel the need to keep our anger or frustration or grief inside ourselves. We feel free to express this, and sometimes, we end up really hurting people for the simple reason that we take their love and acceptance for granted.

If someone loves you, they trust you and they have let you deep inside them. If you do something that hurts them somehow, it will usually affect them very deeply just because they love you and you are so close to them. The pain is hurtful but it is also a sign of love-- if they didn't love you your actions wouldn't mean so much to them or be able to hurt them...but the important part is being there and following through, being part of the healing too.

We hurt them because they are the ones that love us the most, which is one of the reasons we love them. If they did not love us, we would not hurt them so badly when we do what we do. What one loves in another is their goodness. When we are loved, it reinforces our goodness. When one hurts someone who loves them, it diminishes both the lover and the loved. So the question really is, why do we hurt ourselves.

Because we are human and the nature of being human is against God. For God stands for everthing Good and Man sided up with the devil in eden. Satan is against man and God so everthing he is is evil. We are a Selfish Brood. So our nature is selfish and hurtful.

It's easier to hurt the people we love the most because we know that they truly love us and they will learn to truly forgive us, thats why we loved them in the first place.
It's harder to get mad at people you barely know when you really think about it.

Perhaps we trust them to forgive us after we hurt them time and time again.
Or humans are secretly sadistic to themselves and others and enjoy testing relationships, to see how far the other person can go.
