Overdose of grapes, raisins, onions, chocolate (those dark bitter ones), etc, are toxic to dogs.

Poultry bones are too fragile. They split and splinter and might injure the inner organs with their sharpness. or get caught in the dog's throat. But you can give raw chicken necks.

Hotdogs are just too salty/

ONIONS
Onions and garlic contain the toxic ingredient thiosulphate. Onions are more of a danger.

Pets affected by onion toxicity will develop haemolytic anaemia, where the pet’s red blood cells burst while circulating in its body.

CHOCOLATE

When affected by an overdose of chocolate, a dog can become excited and hyperactive. Due to the diuretic effect, it may pass large volumes of urine and it will be unusually thirsty. Vomiting and diarrhoea are also common. The effect of theobromine on the heart is the most dangerous effect. Theobromine will either increase the dog’s heart rate or may cause the heart to beat irregularly. Death is quite possible, especially with exercise.

After their pet has eaten a large quantity of chocolate, many pet owners assume their pet is unaffected. However, the signs of sickness may not be seen for several hours, with death following within twenty-four hours.

GRAPES/RAISINS
Cause kidney failure.

Vomiting and jittery (hyperactive) behavior are seen immediately to within the first 24 hours after ingestion. Diarrhea may also be seen, and the vomitus and feces may contain partially digested grapes or raisins. After 24 hours, the dog may be come anorexic, lethargic and depressed. Additionally the abdomen may be painful, the dog may stop drinking and urinating. Ultimately, the kidneys fail, and without aggressive treatment, many dogs will die.

If you want to give human food. Just boil some meat with plain water. Cook some brown rice (more vitamins than white rice). And some veggies. Don't give kfc, mcnuggets (or other salty food).

That depends upon the food in question. A dog's digestive system cannot handle all the foods that a human's system can handle. They are not able to properly digest most fruits and vegetables in the natural state. Some cooked foods are soft enough, but still are not really digested. Some foods, such as chocolate, are very dangerous to dogs. The size of the dog will determine how well it will tolerate toxins. Bigger dogs can handle more just like bigger people can handle more. It will also depend upon the metabolism of the dog.
It is probably safe to give a dog small amounts of unseasoned meat off the bone. Be careful of fatty foods. They can/will make a dog throw up. Also be careful of the amount of protien in the food. Too much protien will also make a dog sick. Vegetarians are also sensitive to such ailments. Dogs don't handle our spices very well. Talk with a vet. It is usually better to just be safe and give dogs dog food and dog treats. One source put it this way, "Don't treat your dog like a garbage disposal." Some people do. Talk with a vet.

My dog eat whatever we cook. Mostly mince meat rice. But pet's diet should be balance and bland. Just like human, too much of something though its nutritious is still consider bad. Too salty, spicy, sweet etc must be carefull. Perhaps doting on the them with our food is bad cause they will have no "table manners". But my dog craze over durians! (The vet will come after me for this ^o^). My doggy live to 15years ^_^. Yap yap.

It depends on the food how much and how often. You should never feed them chicken bones because they can splinter and the dog can choke on it. Too much human food can upset their stomachs.

It's very likely it will make them sick. It's best not to feed them "people" food at all. If you start feeding them what you eat, they'll eventually learn to beg for it... and that's not good doggy behaviour.
