I built a small patio off the back of my home, using 14 x 14 brick slabs, the kind you can buy at Lowes or Walmart. They are inexpensive and its easy to do. it Looks Lovely afterwards. Good Luck

You do out and get concrete pieces & rocks. people throw away or at a river or such place.and lay them down as you wont the shape to me then build a form of wood planks and make the shape you wont then you get a wheel barrow and get concrete mix and you slowly fill it in and then when its full you smooth it out and there you have it, I did that ,it was very cheaply done.,and been there 20 years solid.make sure you make it at least five inch's deep. This is the cheapest way to make a patio.wood rots.you have to treat it often.make it thick enough it will last many years good luck.& mix that concrete right, the person at the store will tell you just how to do it.or you can get premixed concrete,
