Ok so I know I am 12 and you people thik that I don't need money but I do! All my friends have good money and I am a kid and if I like something I want it. Plus I want to help my parents. we are so deep in morgage and stuff. I was thinking about babysitting but I don't think that is legal in IL. so ya. Plus if it is hw much should I charge and how should I let people know about me in a safe way. Also should I do it @ my house or theirs. Also I cannot take out trash and stuff becuz the old people in my neighborhood are mean and never want help. I don't get an allowance either. Plus I hating asking my parents for $$ becuz they never have it. I just really need it and I would appreiciate if you guys would give a 12 year old some good advice. Please and thank you!

When I was your age I would hang out at the grocery store and help older folks put their groceries in the car. I never asked for money, but some people gave it to me anyway.
Babysitting is ok, but you should talk with your parents first about whether they are ok about you watching kids at home. If they are, great.
Look for books at the library on how to make money and more importantly, how to invest. Learn the art of money management and you'll be off to a great start.

Lawn mowing, landscaping and clean up, baby/kid sitting, car washing, truck washing (the big ones), Newspaper delivery route...
Be professional, and sincere, do the job you say you'll do, and do if for a fair price and maybe your 'mean neighbors' will take notice.

Just study, who cares about your friends, if you start a competition now of who has and who doesn't, you will always be looking at what your friends have. Just be yourself, and wait until your time comes.
