They make those handbooks so that you'll be able to easily study. this is why your instructor says study it. Skim the e book .. you dont' ought to study each 'and' 'the' and 'it'.. basically get the conception. test, because at my school for tests you can go up to the teacher again and again and they will tell you what is wrong and let you fix everything, i have never gotten less than 100% on a test at my highschool
