pros: job security, pretty good pay, can work anywhere in the US, pride in being a nurse, know how to take care of sick friends and family, get to wear your pj's to work[scrubs] lol.

cons: may work weekends, holidays,12 hour shifts, and nights, doctors are mean when you have to wake them up to ask something on the phone, some doctors think they are god, easy to accidently harm someone, must be able to do several mind-boggling things at once, feet hurt, people who are sick are at their personal worst, stick people with needles on a regular basis, the employer doesn't care how good or bad you are they just want a warm body to fill that slot, get hit, thrown-up on and worse.

A really good place to look for answers to your question(s) is the US Dept. of Labor. The US Dept. of Labor has a great web site for researching occupations of all sorts. You might want to check this out to do get the best answer(s) for your question(s) and to do your research: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos083.htm
