I'm not try to be mean bc i know plenty of normal people that smoke pot but my dad and two of his cousins were your average 60s liberal hippy pot heads and were some of the last to be drafted into the military and became 3 of the most responsible, clean cut, patriotic republicans you can think of.
You have no choice in going to school where there is a liberal bias among the teachers. What if you had no choice about serving in the military for 2-4 years(active, reserve, or guard still your choice) where there is a more republican bias?
Right now liberals are screaming that shows like Rush Limbaugh's are too one sided and want to force an opposing view on his shows so people can hear both sides... well shouldn't that go both ways? Teachers get to brain wash for 13 years, i'm saying give republicans a crack at it for 2-4.

^.-.^ I agree that there isn't enough choice provided, and even though most liberals will say there are choices, the fact remains that many of these choices are unavailable to most people.
In regards to Limbaugh, while I don't agree with his political standings, it is a talk-radio show for the most part, and he has the right to be as one-sided as he likes. I don't think he -should- be, but its still his choice.
What it comes down to in the end is that there's a lack of respect going both ways. REP have trouble respecting DEM, and DEM have trouble respecting REP. Truly mutual respect has yet to be given by either side, and its creating conflict, and since both sides are responding with anger, no respect is being earned, either.

No, without pot, there would be no neocons. They jwould quickly fade from sight without having something to be against. And if I am not mistaken, haven't the Republicans HAD their chance for the past 6 years? Could ANY other party have gotten us into as much of a mess as they have? I mean ANY other party? And I do wonder if what you mean by "liberal bias", is "questioning", rather than "believing" as the right would have it. But have no fear, there are enough fools on the left and the right, that neither will become extinct in the foreseeable future. The only people that always seem to get crushed, are us invisible people in the middle.

And no even if I were in the military for 20 years, I would still hold on to my convictions, I wouldn't let myself be brainwashed anyone's propagandist machine, be it left or right-wing.. Sorry i don't subscribe to groupthink.

In the 60's we had right wing & left wing & revolutionaries & straights. Only Democrats & Republicans used the terms of liberal & conservative. Power to the People has been abused by the so-called liberals of the 60's & 70's. The ACLU proves this, so I also say that the Republican Party will stop the impending state of Anarchy that the Democrats seem to be hanging onto under the guise of so-called "liberalism". They missed their chance & should step aside until things get straightened out!

Ahhhh, you've discovered the real reason that pot is still illegal! Without it, people rely on propaganda and succumb to brainwashing. With it, poeple think outside the box and see the truth.
