California to propose a no spanking law and one could face jail time. I tell you what, if I didn't spank my youngest child when she was younger, she would be a hellion! Some children are very strong willed and talking, negotiating, explaining, time out, they do NOT work on certain kids. A couple of swats on the bum bum gets their attention real quick. Arnold will veto it if he's smart, but....
I hope there will be some democrats that disagree with this ban. Democrats "say" they don't want the government in our businesses or homes, but what is this? Dictating to parents how to raise their children. That my friends, is socialism, whether you disagree or not, that's what it is. Leave it to California and they sure as heck better keep it over there. I would go insane if I had to live there and my children would be in juvenile hall and they'd find some way to blame the conservatives.
Do you see what is happening? Will some of you see what is happening or just spew insults?

I'm not offended, but yahoo blog? This is a concern that people take too lightly. I too was hit way TOO much and not with just the hand either, but I do not despise my parents but I know they were wrong. Within reason is where abusers don't know when to stop. Yet, you just CANNOT tell a parent do not spank your child or you go to jail. Punish the abusers not good parents.

the fact they say they dont want to invade in our bussiness but force absurd laws upon us by congressional majority seems a little suspicious to me i am starting to think liberals are straight up socialists. they know whats better for you than what you know. i'm feeling pretty uneasy about things.

I don't think Arnold will pass it. He came from a place where that stuff is VERY common. Plus I always heard he was a pretty strict parent.
i think that law is stupid.. personally. Spanking has been going on for as long as there have been children on the earth... it's even in the bible (If that matter to you @_@ ya know)..
What's the matter with spanking? nothing... sometimes its the only thing that grabs a child's' attention. Sure there are better things.. but better things don't always work. I think it's up to the parents how they raise their child.
I think...because parents are responsible for their child if they do something bad... then they should be responsible with how they will be raised.

Whether or not parents should spank their kids is a matter for endless debate. But it's got absolutely nothing to do with socialism. Read Marx's Das Kapital from end to end, I guarantee you won't find a single mention of spanking.
But since you say on your profile "liberalism=communism", I suspect your political education's at a fairly low level.

Look, what people do with their children is their decision, within reason. However, my mother frequently hit me as a child so, and I quote her not you, I wouldn't become a hellion. All it did was teach me to despise her, not respect her.

It isn't socialism, it is just stupid. It is already illegal for anyone not parent or legal guardian and illegal to use 'excessive force'. If what they are after is stopping child abuse the laws already exist.

Liberal politicians want to control poor helpless minorities who aren't capable of taking care of themselves. Liberal voters. Are so blinded with misplaced compassion to be practical. They cannot see how ignorant their point of view is. Activists are so lacking in their daily lives that they want to save something else because they are powerless to save themselves.
