Indesign CS2 is within the new Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 bundle. It is used by graphic designers, web designers etc. Have a look at the Adobe website for more information to help with the 10 page submission. 10 pages is a lot to write so you may wish to include the other adobe releases such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Go live and acrobat.

Good luck writing 10 pages about it. It is a pretty big program However. If you were writing tutorials, that could fill up space quick though..

One thing you could do is talk about it's competitor software.

Also, there'sa free program that competes with it, it's called scribus. Go to scribus.com and download scribus for free.

Indesign is a design program for page design and it differs from illustrator and photoshop in that it's for designing multiple page documents, such as brochures, magazines, books. If you just make a graphic or poster, you could use a lot of software, but InDesign does a great job on large multipage docs.
