Is there any way to preserve the color in roses when you dry them? Also, are there any techniques that will keep the petals attatched to the stem as time goes by once the roses are dried?

Hello Allie -

You can try silicia gel to dry your roses into. It's the best way to preseve the colour and the shape -- the petals should stay with the stems if done correctly; otherwise, try to hang them upside down in a closet to preseve the best ..

I tied the stems in a bunch and hung upside down in a cool, dry closet for about 30 days.

In Victorian times, gardeners would wax cut flowers for long lasting bouquets. In a double boiler (large pan with some water, smaller pan in that with wax, parafin...) melt wax. Dip blossoms in wax, hang to dry. have fun.
