being irresponsible, if he was responsible he'd take care of children no matter what the circumstances, whether he loved/hated the mother or whatever...
so many things to mention, too little time on my part....

A deadbeat dad is a man/coward that walks out on his family, and then after leaving, has nothing to do with the children...only paying child support because the court ordered him to, not because he loves his children and wants whats best for them. A deadbeat is a "man" that chooses a woman over his kids. A deadbeat is a "man" that avoids his children, and thinks that his children only call him when they want something, when in fact, all they want is to hear his voice.

It a legal term used in the courts systems. It when the mother and child or children are not getting the money to support the child or children. In some states the deadbeat dad can have is wages garnered. But they can cross the state line and never collect a dime. The tax payers are left to help the children out.

really a lot of stuff. child support is only one factor, but its most commonly the one people think about. a deadbeat dad could be the guy that walks in and out of their childs life and not really care. he could be the guy standing in line at the grocery store buying beer while his children are at home alone. promising things for years, then falling back on them. or really just not being there for his child. saying he cares but never shows up for birthday parties, of baseball games. simple things that add up make a deadbeat dad.

When they dont do ANYTHING AT ALL FOR YOU OR SPEND TIME WITH YOU. They just dont care, they cant even call to say hello. Deadbeat dads are really sad pathetic people. I have 3 little cousins who are sisters whos dad doesnt give a sh*t about them and their mom barely does either so my grandparents take good care of them.

When a man can walk out on his kids of 13 and 19, just because his wife divorced him, never call the kids or send 'em anything (no money, b-day cards, presents)...now that for sure is deadbeat, what a loser

hi its when he does noting for hes kids , just things of him and hes own needs . then he leaves all the work of looking after hes kids to there mom, its sad that things get this bad, being young the kids dont understand why dad left, then its hard on there mum i see that and im a dad too.

a person would be a dead beat dad when he does not want to see his kid or does not pay any money to the child a person needs to want to be a dad to the child to be a fairly good dad

Well my daughters dad has just totally entered that description. He won't pay child support that is court ordered. I provide her medical. I buy all her clothes and her shoes. I pay 100.00 a month for her to eat at school. And now he never calls her or shows up for his visits. His name is Gary A, Scott
