First of all let me say that every one and every pregnancy are different. Now there is more than one answer to this question. Yes it is possible to still get a posative result after a miscarrege as long as there is still some HCG left in her system. most docs will make you get repeat HCG levels taken until your levels reach a normal non pregnancy level. Now yes it is also possible to get pregnant again right after a miscarage. Speaking from personal experience i had i a miscarege (2nd one in a year) in august and i was pregnant again in sept. I am now doing very well and due in mid may. So i suggest she go see her obgyn and get a blood test to see exactly what her HCG levels are and if they are still high she should get an ultrasound done asap. Good luck to your friend and i hope this was helpfull

hi there:
i recently lost a baby girl born at 20 weeks. i only had bleeding for a week and my hcg levels were normal after 2 weeks. and i am now pregnant again. conceved 4 weeks after looseing our little girl.
so answer to can she pregnant again this soon is yes she can.
but if shes still bleeding from a miscarrage a month ago i recomend that she books a scan or goes and sees her doc/midwife there could be still some placenter in her uterus which will cause scaring if infection left untreated which could cause her problems conceving later on. the birth control pill taken while pregnant is not shown 2 have any affect on a unborn baby
i really hope this helps :)

She can absolutely be pregnant again. I know when you miscarry there are residual hormones, so maybe that's to blame for the positive pregnancy test. Maybe she didn't fully miscarry, or if she's had sex it could be a new pregnancy. I would definitely seek care if I were her. Best of luck!

After a miscarriage it takes several weeks for your hormones to go down to its normal level. Your friends hcg levels have not gone down and is still going to have positive tests, now in another month if its still positive then she might be pregnant again...

You still have the pregnancy hormones for months after a missciage... When I had mine preg. tests came back positive for 3 months. Did your friend have a D&C or see a dr about it???

Because the hormone the test detects is still present for quite awhile after a miscarriage.

Did she have her miscarrigw confirmed to make sure she didn't need a D&C, if the miscarrige was very recent there could still be trace amounts of Hcg but otherwise she may be pregnat again, it is best left up to a doctor to check bu bloodtests.

She needs to go in for a D&C. It sounds like not all of the fetal tissue was not expelled. Either that or she was pregnant with twins and only miscarried one. That happens quite often.

I think there are 3 answers, either the test is wrong, she is still pregnant (maybe there were twins or she didn't really have a miscarriage), or she is pregnant again. Either way, good luck to her.

The HCG level is still in her system it may take time for her levels to return to normal. look at this site http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/pregcomplications/252.html
