What are the do's and dont's while singin a national anthem?

Are you asking about singing it solo in front of a crowd, or as one of the crowd? Either way, I'd suggest you know the national anthem extremely well. Mispronunciation is NOT acceptable. Also, stand tall when you sing it. Slouching isn't worthy of our anthem. Right hand over your heart is a MUST. It may not be "fashionable" nowadays, but those of us who know will watch you, and if you fail to do that, your esteem in our eyes just went to helll. Also, take your cap or any head covering OFF!! Leaving your head covered is an extreme NO-NO!! Oh, and practice hitting those high notes and long notes. Every one has trouble with them, and they can understand if you can't get them right, but your esteem in their eyes will go WAY UP if you can! God Bless you. And God Bless America!

1. Be sure to pick a key that you can hit "say" at the beginning and "rocket's red glare".
2. Confidence is key.

DON'T:
1. try and show off unless you're ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that you can nail it perfectly.
3. If you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that you can nail it, probably only do it on "there", "free", and "brave".
