First, why do you want to? Second, do you mean on the internet? Third, do you plan on meeting these people in the flesh some day? Be REALLY careful. There are a lot of dangerous people out here who use this as a tool. Why not communicate more with people you know?

I don't get it??? Do you not wish to communicate with people you do know? Are you speaking of live people, or virtual reality?
I do these answers for the reason that I won't ever have to see or hear from them--or even know their identities.
I do not want to communicate with strangers--particularly on-line.
That's not to say that I don't talk to new neighbors who move in, or someone I meet when taking a class or shopping. Again, if I don't like the way they act, I never have to see or hear from them again.

if the unknown people are people on the net, then don't bother. if You mean people you meet, then start with a smile. It's a great ice breaker... try it and you'll see how responsive people will be towards you.

Start with possitive or general (no negative comment till you understand the people comments on the common domain applicable to both of you, like weather, sports etc. Slowly continue conversations if both are like minded it will go for end less.

Answering questions here is a good place to start. Just being yourself but I would certainly be very very careful in answering questions when they ask too many personal questions. Like where you live and how old you are and other such things like are you living with your parents how much money you have.
