because she may be talking or not paying attention. How you do feel about this kind of dicipline ? Is it good to do this or not.

my husband says its a form of mental development. It teaches them that they need to focus and when they break the rules they have to face the consequences. Any comments on this.

Yes it does sound too structured. Although was it her choice to enrol or is she "forced" to go--perhaps unwillingly, each time?

I'd have a talk with the instructor who, quite possibly could share some blame for this too, knowing this could be normal behavior for some 7 yr olds.

If nothing can be resolved I'd look into getting a refund for the class.

the teacher can not conduct a class if a child is acting out. so the right thing to do is to send the child home, because it is not fair to the other students who are paying for the class. You need to have a talk with her and dicipline her.

No. I think children should be allowed to be children and participate in activities that are enjoyable to them. Making it a bad experience at this age might have long-term consequences. You can't expect a 7 year old to be that driven about anything. The instructor expects too much. Let her get involved in something that is fun for her.
