it is only at night time for some reason. Does anyone know what this could mean? I have been tested for gestational diabetes and passed. The only thing that i can think of is I take my prenatal at night...could this cause a dry mouth? It's almost umbearable tonight and im starting to get a little nervous about it. Thanks!

I went through the same thing, it's normal. Keep at bottle of water next to the bed and sip as needed. Sugar free candies can keep your saliva glands working, so suck on some of those.

Since your mouth is dry you are more prone to bad breath, so you might need to floss and brush more often than usual. And get prepared for the excess saliva, that's what I went through right after my dry mouth phase. It's all normal and it's gonna be over soon.

Take care and have fun with your new baby!!

Well you don't relize how much fluids you need to take in when your pregnant, it's alot, try adding a few extra drinks during the day also if you have your heat in yur house and car on it can be causing the dry mouth.

I am 33 weeks also, I make sure that my water and kool-aid jug are filled everynight before I go to sleep, I literally get up every hour because I get so thirsty, Im assuming if we both have it, its more normal than I think, I got sick of the water all the time, so I have kool-aid as my backup.

Are you getting enough water during the day? Make sure you are getting your 8 glasses. If you are getting enough get some mouth rinse made for dry mouth. I think it is called Bio-tene. You can get it in any grocery store.

If you think that is the culprit, try taking it right before you go to bed and drink some juice to coat your mouth and throat...this can also be a sign of deydration. Are you drinking enough water/juice?
