Normally male Betta's are pretty good with other fish, just as long as it is not another betta. Monitor the fish constantly to see if they are getting along. Good Luck!

I would make it bigger and heated and filtered if I were you. But fine, let it die a slow death.

I have mollies and bettas who freak out if the temp goes lower than 76. They nearly die. That's why I'd suggest a heater. And after the oto living in a warm, filtered tank at the pet store, it may get shocked and die.

NEVER put a cory catfish in there either. no matter wut.

Absolutely! You could also try one of the smaller species of corydoras catfish. Both will help keep the bottom clean.
