my very good friend is a wonderful person, he does good with everyone, he doesnt smoke, drink or do anything harmful to his body. he quit drinking soda and eating fried foods. im very proud of him and proud to know a person like him, but i am seriously concerned about his health related to his work schedule. he goes to college, works a job AND takes care of his family because his father is incapable. he has been doing this for years and i notice its catching up with him even at this age(hes 20) a few months ago, i asked him to be partners with me in my business(stocks) and he appreciated the offer but said no thanks. the job he has is stressful and has to deal with people all the while he is there. is there anything i can do or tell him to make him realize he must lessen his workload before he gets health issues. i like him a lot and i would be devastated if he wasnt healthy. please any opinions or solutions would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

as a good and loyal friend, you do have an obligation to have some open communication with your friend. express to him your concerns about the impact his lifestyle could impose upon him. listen carefully to his responses and don't tell him he HAS to change. with him, brainstorm 1-3 ways by which he can attempt to reduce his stress level. guide and encourage him; don't force.
remember, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."
your friend is lucky to have you in his life.

welll thats exactly how eating disorders start i mean not only anorexia bt also bulimia and other similar one... however sometimes we might just need to give her time as it might just be a phase ... or it can be deadly serious.. i should now what im talking about as i started with an innocent diet when i was 13 and wanted to loose weight, build up muscle and do a lot of exercise and well im now 16 and have been anorexic for the past three yrs so it can get out of hand. to help her you should not pressure her to not do what she wants bt instead try and understand what she's going through bt in a way make her understand that it is actually bad.. saying things such as oh"oh u shouldnt do anything thats just dumb" woint help her... if u believe u were unsuccessful in ur attempts then advice her and say that it can be deadly ,,, then if she still doesnt listen and seem careless about herself then you should inform an aduls you trust: - i mean i know its hard because she's your friend and you should keep her secretes bt the thing is that remember you are only helping her and some day she will thank you for that ... hope taht helped take care!!
