I know it is snowing in areas that don't get snow.

we have had beautiful weather until this week. Here we usually have snow and cold by christmas. this is our first snow. This is an el nino winter.

In a way, yes we are in Colorado. But it is more of a cyclical thing. About once every 10 years (that's an estimated average) we get snow that stays for the winter. Last time we had snow like this was '97-'98, before that it was '83.

Here in Minnesota it has been an unusually warm and mild winter. Last month we had temps in the mid 40s. There is less than 6 inches of snow, which is weird for northern Minnesota this time of year, we usually have several feet by now.

North Carolina: 3 days ago it was in the 60's. Snowed yesterday. Nice today. Snow/ice come Monday. Mother nature can't make her mind up.

Great Plains U.S.A. - lotta snow, snow on the ground for a month, and cold snap last week. This is in contrast to January, 06, which seemed like record warm and dry.

In Northeast Ohio, it is finally snowing..but it's not sticking and not horribly cold like it SHOULD be this time of year. The other day, it was 54 then it dropped down the to 20s. Flat out weird.

We've been having very warm weather in Minnesota and we just got our first snow about 1 week ago which is pretty strange for us in mid Jan. but now it's getting cold.
