I prefer answers where people give details and explain why they hold this opinion. However i prefer it to be a short concise paragraph not one that just rambles on and on til it loses the plot.

It really depends on the question. If the question seems like it should be answered with a short response then, short answers are better. I hate it when people ramble and ramble on even though the question might've only needed a yes or a no.

I prefer answers with detail. A superficial response cannot account for nuance, exceptional circumstances, and interesting related information.
