When you say "elite" I am guessing you mean professional.

Most professionally trained gymnasts start at the age of 3 or 4 but don't let that scare you from trying gymnastics. Your coach will teach you some basic warm ups. Some gymnasts have difficulty at first in back flexibility but this can be overcome through proper stretching and exercise. Gymnastics, like anything else, requires lots of practice in order to master it. Hope this helps!

I think any age is fine!! I stated at age 6 and continued till I was in 9th grade!! You will have fun with it ..... dont matter the age cuz when u get in the class there may be some 11 year olds. There too. So go for it! Its better to starts young while ur 11 than when ur like in your teens so you can get better and progress.

Eleven years of age is a great age to be in gymnastics. Some day maybe you'll be a great athlete who knows. Set goals for yourself. Being in gymnastics takes alot of self discipline & determination, so don't give up on yourself. Think positive & enjoy yourself. Good luck!

while a good amount of gymnist started early in life, you can still work for it. It will take hours of practice, possible 4-6 hours daily. You'll have to wake up say 4:00AM, eat proteins, work out, shower, goto school, or home schooling, then 2 more hours of workout, dinner, homework 2 more hours of work. or something like that.
