Blacks are keeping racism alive? Are you on drugs?

Have you read any of the racist garbage being hurled at us by racist whites on Yahoo Answers? Every day there must be at least 30 racist slurs hurled by racist whites on this website. Some people are so racist against blacks people that if we vanished tomorrow, they'd still be talking about how much they hate us 100 years from now.

If you want to end racism, then stop making racist generalizations.

That's called reverse racism.

The mere mention of another person or group as racist, means that you are separating them apart from yourself and the group you beliong to, which is being racist.

In our society, people are generally against others rather than pro getting along. We really need to understand one another better rather than paint people with a brush.

Many black people do not exhibit signs of reverse racism, but some do, just as some whites do not see thier prejudices for what they are.

Everyone who exibits racist behaviour keeps racism alive, not any one group in particular. Racism is a disease of the spirit, seeing the other as different or inferior.

Not true. It comes from all sides. If everyone isn't willing to let go of it then racism will never end. You can't blame one race for everyone's mistakes. One is not more racist than the other. Some may be more vocal than others. But the underlying venom is still there lurking in everyone, end of story.

Just wanted to add a personal experience:
*I once had a girl in my class in 10th grade history that busted out and said, One day I'm gonna have me a white slave. That has stuck with me to this day, and it still bothers me. I could not understand where this anger came from. If we truly wanna let racism go, then we have to fully let it go. None of this holding on to that one last bit of trying to have a reason why you're right in it*

Racists come equally in all cultures. My husband has an uncle (by marriage) who is the biggest piece of white trash supremacy that I've ever seen, the guy hates people of color with a passion. I can't stand the guy, at family reunions I make jokes about this guy's father going to his family's reunions to pick up women around the time he was conceived.

I've also known black people who throw the fact that "my people" are responsible for enslaving their ancestors in my face; I can't stand those types either. I tell them that I'm of Polish/Slavic descent and that at the time of black slavery MY PEOPLE were being enslaved and oppressed by the Russians, Germans, etc. I kind of get a laugh out of it when their jaws drop and they start stammmering for something to say. As I just said racism occurs even within races; my people didn't fully escape oppression until the fall of communism in 1989. Hitler murdered millions of Jews, and other cultural minorities during the holocaust not because he hated the color of their skin, but because he hated their culture.

Racism occurs in all races; those who practice it are ignorant bigots regardless of color.

well first of all i would like to point out how highly ignorant this question is. Second of all I'm going to respect your opinion (me being a black person) by saying that yes some black people ARE and CAN be racist just as much as a white, asian, and hispanics can. you cant just ASSUME that black people are keeping "racisim alive" by just your personal experience. And third all arnt you beuing a little prejuduce and racist by even asking a dumb question like this? THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK SWEETIE.

Yeah right every race is racist. There is no getting around it. We will never live in a perfect society where all races come together and accept each others differences. The only way that racism will go away is when everyone is the same color, talks the same, and acts the same.

i dunno why u guys keep on arguing bout this issue.we have 2 accept that each one of us ARE racist eventhough we didn't realize it.at least once in our life we'll be racist.the weird thing is back at my country there's more than 3 races living in the same place.we just go on with our lives n try not to hurt each other.its normal if u talk something bad about the other races.people do make mistake rite?but the argument never get so serious until we have to call the cop or the ambulance.but i think it have something 2 do with our culture that make us quite passive than the Americans.i mean that is reality.

I don't think they are.. I work with the public.. you'd be suprised how many whites dislike blacks in our area.. I work in a rather diverse work environment and many of my afro-amercian coworkers complain about the way they are treated.. Not just blacks, but asians get some of the same treatment.. It will never go away.. Education is the key.. but even educated people can be racist..

In detroit, we have the most segregated area in the United States. The 98% of black people that make of the inner city area hate the 98% of white people who make up the metropolitian area, and pretty much vice versa. However, in the Charlotte area in NC, i have heard that blacks and whites are very amicable torwards each other... so I guess it depends on your neighborhood.
