Hey, This might sound stupid but I am going to ask anyways. Would like to be named Katrina or name your child Katrina. If you are named Katrina how do you feel about hearing about Hurricane Katrina almost everyday. I hate my name and yes my name is Katrina. I wish I could afford to change my name to something else but I cant. Do you feel sorry for the people whose name was stolen from them in order for a big bad hurricane to have a name? How would you feel if the Hurricane was not Katrina but your name?

I guess people named Andrew, Hugo, Carla, or Camille... etc, would feel the same way. But, I don't think its any reflection of you - being named Katrina. Be thankful that nowadays they also use masculine names, and not just the femimine names.
Its not like you would be blamed for the hurricane, and if anyone does, then they are the one with the problem... not you.
Your name wasn't stolen.... and it wouldn't bother me if Hurricane Linda was the baddest storm ever.
