I’m in my early 30’s and recently purchased a cemetery plot. Rather that let it sit there and receive any use from it until I’m dead, I’ll like to partake in some summer activities this coming year. The grounds are kept so nice and the grass is so green, I’d like to sunbathe on it. I’d also like to get outdoors and use it for some stretching, yoga and even cookout on my portable grill. I’ve told a few of my friends about these plans and they state the cemetery may not let me “hang out” there. I disagree – I bought the land and have the paper work to show anyone who may oppose my recreation. So, I guess my question – Is this acceptable? Don’t I have the right to do as I please, as the plot is mine?

do not you've everywhere else besides the cemetary the position you may want to draw close out? i own a cemetary plot although the in common words time i bypass to the cemetary is to visit my relations contributors graves. i also use to artwork at a funeral living house that became on the grounds of the cemetary. i wager you do have the right yet why do you want to do those issues on the cemetary? relations contributors will likely make a mess of court docket cases and also you'd be requested no longer to do those issues there.

The plot is yours but all the land around it is the Cemetery's. No you do not have the right. They do. Of course you could die early and that would save you lots of time.

Nope, sorry you don't. Every cemetery has rules and when you purchased your plot you were given a copy of the rules. Read them carefully and then you will know what you can or cannot get away with.

Yes, go for it. There are religions that people spend time with the dead. Night of the dead on holloween. People go and picnic on their dead loved ones graves. I don't see why you can go have a nice bbq and nap if you want to.

Surely you can find a much nicer spot to do yoga and have a barbecue ???
Acceptable - I really dont think so - I think it is a bit of a joke and also a bit disrespectful

If I saw you having a BBQ near the graves of my loved ones, I'd have a word or two with you.
