I don't know that it works- I have heard that it does. I would certainly bring it up to my docor before I tried it. Sex does work ---- really good hanky panky can bring on labor.

First I want to preface by saying DO NOT use except under your midwife or OB's advice.

I used with my first pregnancy at 41 weeks- took it early afternoon, had horrible diarrhea and cramping which tapered off, then I went into labor early the next morning and had my daughter the next day. Did it work? Maybe- I can't give a definitive answer.

Also used with my second pregnancy at 40 3/4 wks- and again had cramping & diarrhea- but it all went away and I didn't have my daughter until 4 days later.

Both times I used under my midwife's care- she says that it will NOT work if you aren't ready to go into labor.

I've read, from other sources that it can cause meconium staining, etc, and from personal experience I can say that it's no fun. After two pregnancies I honestly believe that babies come when they're ready- the timer doesn't always go off at 40 weeks. I know it seems like you'll be preggo forever, but once you have your baby you'll see how the time flies. Best of Luck!

I know a few people who tried this. All ended up really sick, out both ends if you know what I mean. Only 1 person said it worked, but said she was so sick and she'd never do it again. I asked my doctor and he said not to do it because it was dangerous to takle while pregnant. I know the end is really rough, but the baby will come, so hang in there a little longer

From personal experience it did not work for me and it tastes like motor oil!
I had 3 friends tell me they tried it too and had no luck. The baby only comes when he/she is ready.
Sorry I don't know anyone this has worked for.

I tried it when I was pregnant a few months ago and all that it did was give me stomach cramps and it made me sit on the pot for a while but in my experience with it it did NOT work but everyone is different.

I did it with my second child, I drank as much as I could handle swallowing for two day and noting, the whole concept is that you will have bad diarreh that will ring on contractions but if your body isn't "ripe" there is not much you can do.

I tried it with my 2nd child and it only gave me diarrhea. My mom scolded me and told me it puts me and the baby at risk for dehydration.
