Over the years, I’ve heard hundreds (if not thousands) of people state they like Burger King hamburgs but don’t like their fries. They further state their desire for Burger King hamburgers with McDonalds fries. However, your average person is not going to travel to both restaurants and wait for each item as the other gets cold. This is where my ingenious idea comes to play. I will reconstruct my kitchen room & dining room into restaurant fully equipped with tables, stools & chairs. I’m going to hire 2 teenagers that will travel to McDonalds for fries & Burger King for Burgers every half hour. This brings the 2 products to the customer – nicely, quickly & hot!!!! What I need at this point is information where to buy the large McDonald and Burger King signs they have outside their restaurants to put outside my house. Where do I get them?

Sigh. The basic concept of a franchise is that Mcdonalds and burger king retain all rights to their images, recipies, and procedures. In other words come up with your own logo, or prepare to waste a lot of time talking to executives at either company. Good Luck.

AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!!!
No offense, but about the kitchen idea...R U STONED
The corps won't go for your idea of cross-consumership.
Besides, the fees you would have to pay to the corporations would be 5mil a year, plus, they only build on land they own. I don't see them agreeing on a land partnership, you would have to buy the building (s) from them, and if they decide they don't like the idea, they can have you evicted of of their property, and at the same time, if you haven't paid the building (s) off, they can file (jointly or independently) a seize and sell order for everything you as a person and a former franchizee own. Does it still sound like a good idea?

They are two different franchises and I don't think they would let you do that. Your idea might be great but it's not legal and you might end up in a state prison eating prison industries' hamburgers and french fries with terrible tasting catchup.

As the "Burger King" - I would never allow you to combine with McDonalds.

One minor, yet costly problem....you need a franchise license from each to start your home based restaurant. Unless you have about $1.9 million dollars lying around, you won't have a need for the signs!

You certainly have the mind of an entrepreneur. How about adding this? A coronary care clinic in the back to scrape out arteries of return customers. That outta work, too.

Go the "thebigoutdoorsign.com" they have dozens of signs like the one you want. You are totally sure to score one there.
If they deny having them, continue to pester them until the police come to take you back where you belong.

I'm sure Gannett Outdoor or someone can just provide you with a giant billboard instead. =) Might be more eye-catching. Think about it.
