N= -14
A= 54
Y= -15
M= 23/24
x= 7 3/4 or x= 31/4
Q= 4
D= 31 1/2 or 63/2
Y= -10
I think the next one is a typo, no letter to solve for.
M= -29
~~~~~~~~~~
How to on the first one...
-5+n+16=-3
the object is to get the letter by itself. to do this, you need to get the -5 and the 16 on the sae side as the -3. What you do on one side of the '=' sign, you MUST do the SAME thing to the other side. to get rid of the -5 on the left of the '='. you must add 5,
-5+n+16= -3
+5 = +5
____________
n+16 = 2
with me so far? good.
now, to get rid of the 16 on the left side, you must subtract 16.
n+16 = 2
-16 = -16
___________
n = -14
behold your answer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
on the second one... last one, only to explain multiplication and division.
11+a/6= 20
lets start with the easy one, the 11.
11+a/6 = 20
-11 = -11
__________
a/6 = 9
now, to undo multiplication, you must... divide. to undo division you must... multiply. now for the a/6. Remember, your objective is to get the a by itslf.
a/6 = 9
*6 = *6
___________
a = 54
the six on the bottom and the multiplying of the six cancel, and 9 *(times) 6 is 54.
confused yet?
If you need the how-to on all of that, e-mail me and I can explain it. Hope it helps!

-5+n+16=-3
n+11=-3 (add -5 and 16)
n=-14 (subtract 11)
11+a/6=20
a/6=9 (subtract 11)
a=54 (multiply by six on both sides)
-5/8+m=1/3
-15/24+m=8/24 (make same denominator)
m=27/24=9/8=1 1/8 (add 15/24 and then simplify)
7=-3/4x
-28/3=x (multiply by –4/3)
50=-2+13Q
52=13Q (add 2)
Q=4 (divide by 13)
5-9/2d=32
-9/2d=27 (subtract 5)
d=-6 (divide by –2/9)
4(2y+9)=3y-14
8y+36=3y-14 (distribute 4)
5y=-50 (subtract 3y and subtract 36)
y=-10 (divide by 5)
2.5[x]-(-8.2)=26.7 [i am going to assume a letter is there since there is none]
2.5x=18.5 (subtract 8.2)
x=7.4 (divide by 2.5)
11-2(3m-10)=5(4-m)
11-6m+20=20-5m (distribute 2 and distribute 5)
11=m (add 6m and subtract 20)

-5 +n +16 = -3
n + 11 = -3 (take the 5 from the 16)
n = -14 (subtract 11 from both sides)
11 + a/6 = 20
a / 6 = 9 (subtract 11 from both sides)
a = 54 (multiply both sides by 6)
7y - 4(3y-5) = 80
7y - 12y + 20 = 80 (distribute the -4 onto the 3y-5)
-5y + 20 = 80 (combine the y's)
-5y = 60 (subtract 20 from both sides)
y = -12 (divide both sides by -5)
That should be enough to get you rolling for the rest of them.
