a metro? dude, just pick it up flip it over and shake it around a bit.

seriously - if the fuel has been in it for 2 years without any stabilizer it would have have turned to sludge and you won't be able to pour/siphon it out for anything. you've probably also buggered the injection system etc. Good luck cleaning it all out. It's going to be either expensive or time-consuming if you try to do it yourself.

If the alternator became undesirable you'd be in a position to run some miles on battery power, and the purple-colored battery problem-free might want to seem on the sprint. Then the digital gas pump might want to drain it and also you'll slowly crawl and then provide up, the same feeling to dropping power in an electric powered vehicle. If the starter does no longer crank then that is likely a nasty battery floor, both the only positioned on the engine, the body, or both. cleansing the below-hood grounds on those autos is mandatory. it would want to also be a "lifeless spot" on the starter motor. If the starter cranks then you definately've a damaged flywheel equipment on the starter. in case you're taking the starter off and can want to push the equipment round with a pencil tip, that is damaged (the equipment should be staggering). in case you may pop the draw close then that is both the starter or a grimy battery floor. also positioned a fuse interior the diagnostic port (below the guidance wheel and to the left) and verify the codes; if that is something except 12 then diagnose and provider.

there should be a float ball in the gas line(check valve) so get underneath the car and take the hose clamps off so you can get on the gas tank side on the check vavle then stick in the hose and syphon away, get as much out as you can then fill up the car it should flush out all the old gas

Punch a hole in the gas tank or just get rid of it.

Light a match and have a close look into the tank.
