Yes. All the time.
When we throw pebbles into a still pool of water, no matter how small the stone, the ripples that come off of that simple toss cause a reaction that emanates out from the point of impact.
That's why it's so important to be kind and decent in all things.
The wake we leave has a life of it's own for good or ill.

Yes, I suppose I am tempted to think that there are no "little things". But they are little in relation to other things. A smile is miniscule compared to a million dollars. Yet both have such tremendous effects. I don't know... the little things have more meaning than the big things because everyone can give the little things and yet they rarely do. It's hard to explain...
