Powder blush is best. It's easiest to apply and blends alot easier. Believe it or not CoverGirl cheeker's blush is incredible! And so inexpensive you can buy every color. If you dig more expensive brands, I'd go with Lancome...

Well, it depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, you should go with a powder blush (because it'll stay put). Likewise, if you have dry skin, you should go with a cream (it won't dry you out and will look more natural). Combination skin types can wear either.

As far as color goes, this depends on the color you naturally blush - go for a jog or pinch the apple of your cheek. That's the color your blush should be. I find that Covergirl and L'oreal both make nice blushes, as well as Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown.

To apply powder blush, swirl your full cut brush in the color, blow on it gently to remove excess pigment, and sweep it over your cheekbone or apple (depending on the look you want to achieve; apple is more natural, cheekbone is more dramatic). To apply cream, put three dots on cheekbone or apple (again, natural/dramatic suggestions apply) and blend together well.

Blush is an essential cosmetic. But with many formulas it can be hard to know what is the best one for your skin type and lifestyle.
There are lots and lots formulas of blush that provide different benefits. The formula that will work best for you is based on your skin tone, skin type and usage. Blush formulas come in powder (which is the most popular), cream, gel and liquid. hope this helps.

1. Cover Girl Cheekers or Classic Color Blush: epinions.com consumers liked the natural long lasting look, but did not like the too small brush that came with either blusher.
