Go for something a less than a million, it would make it much much more believable. A million dollars is too typical, especially if you live in a moderately rural or obscure area. Try 100,000 or so.

AHHH a Phone Tap very nice just make sure your brother doesnt have a weak heart before doing this all the excitement of thinking your all of a sudden rich could kill you and it is kinda cruel to fool him like this because he is gonna really be hurt when he finds out its a joke and may resent you for it for a long time to come maybe you can come up with something else that isnt so harsh
