Yep. Consult your local Le Leche league chapter. Almost every town has one. You will probably get a card in the welcom package from the hospital with their number. Also, you can request a lactation specialist while your in the hospital, this is part of your stay at the hospital, and will not be an additional charge. They can really help you one on one. And never EVER be embarrassed about feeding your child.

I actually was using the bottle for breastmilk after about 10 days because I was so sore. At the time, I never did two bottle feedings in a row, I always switched back and forth and he adjusted very well. My co-worker, who used to work in the NICU said that the best bottles are the ones that have long and thin nipples that are cross cut. So the ones that claim that they are "natural shape" are usually too big for the baby's mouth and difficult for them to manage. I used both Dr. Browns and Ventaires and found them both to be really good.

I did that with my first child when I had to go back to work. My daughter had no problem taking the bottle but she wouldn't drink my breastmilk from it. I had to put her on formula in the bottle and breast the rest of the time. Every child is different though. Try introducing her to the bottle before you intend on making the full switch.

I introduced at bottle of breast milk once a day starting when my son was 3 weeks old and never had any issues with nipple confusion. Eli didn't like the bottle of breast milk as much as the breast, but we kept at it as my husband wanted to have a chance to feed. Hope this helps.

i became. My daughter continues to be nursing at 16 months and hasn't ever had to have a drop of formulation. I had to come back lower back to artwork even as she became in basic terms 8 weeks previous and she or he took bottles of my milk her total first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. I pumped 3 cases an afternoon at artwork for 20 minutes anytime with a double electric powered pump. My pump is the Medela Freestyle it truly is costly yet well worth it. that is fingers-loose so i might want to pump even as ingesting lunch or surfing the internet or operating (I artwork on the laptop). My infant did "opposite cycle" it truly is even as they take more effective milk in the course of the evening and in one day hours even as mommy's living house than in the course of the day. We cosleep so as which could no longer a project. i wager the major tip I have is to apply slow-bypass nipples the total time. Switching to the swifter bypass can make the infant locate the bottle a lot less complicated and for this reason perfect. also, do not introduce the bottle too quickly, both, as which may reason nipple confusion/bottle determination. between 3-6 weeks is even as i became instructed is the perfect window of time to start up introducing it to the infant once an afternoon. so some distance as interior the very starting up, keep in mind that all and diverse your infant desires is the colostrum you've till your milk is provided in. conventional nursing receives the infant the colostrum it truly is staggering for her health besides as filling. it also will stimulate your milk to come back in. many women don't realize that and for this reason "supplement" with formulation which in turn alerts their body that they don't desire it to make milk. that is a provide and demand gadget so so that you may positioned infant to the breast in many cases.

start introducing a bottle now by using a breast pump.
also Platex has the nipples that are very close to the real thing and I used those with little problem.

Most women can. But it's really up to the baby. Once I started bottlefeeding my son didn't really care for the breast. Which was fine with me. I just pumped.

I did that. I pumped milk so my husband could feed her too. It worked great and we continued until she was 12 months old.
