I'm thinking about honeymooning in Ocho Rios at The Couple Ocho Rios resort.

(would it be close to fly to kingston?)

No if you flew into Kingston depending on what time of day it is,it could be a nightmare, remember its the capital and the main road from there can have alot of traffic, only if your arrival at the Air port will be early in the morning before peak traffic, but it wouldn't make sense as it would be Little longer than if you were coming from Montego Bay,bcuase of the winding road way of the road and bad condition that some sections are in,in the Mountainous elevation of the countries interior.
Driving from the Air Port in Mo bay it will take about 1:45 Min's, or 2 hours,as driving along the north coast has been greatly improve,by a stretch of new road way to be completed in the next 4 to 5 years, the only section of the road that you may experience frustrating waiting in traffic is immediately after leaving the air port as the road work is in its early stage of construction in the city, but once in Trelawny and going further eastward to Ochi Rios it will be a smooth drive, with alittle inconvenience by finishing touches being added to sections of the road way,but nothing of great concern as you will be on time and safe.
Ochi rios is Approx,51 miles or less from Montego bay.

Good luck,and congrats.

To go to Ocho Rios you would most likely fly into Sangster in Montego Bay. The drive from there to Ocho Rios is about 2 hours. The drivers stop about half way for a drink or a bite to eat. Jamaican drivers are CRAZY. Riding on one of the vans on the main road is an unforgettable experience. But pretty soon you figure out that they have a way to work things out and then you relax.

My wife and I were in Runaway Bay last summer. It is about a half hour closer to Montego Bay than Ocho. We loved our resot (Breezes Runaway Bay) and the area. You will too. You can research your resort at TripAdvisor.com where you can read reviews, view pictures and ask questions of knowledgeable responders.

About 25 minutes drive from Sangster's International Airport to Ocho Rios. If you wanted to fly to Kingston you could do so on any carrier of your choice and that would take you about 15 minutes.

Beautiful....it takes three hours on a very bumpy mini bus. One road...but great views. I was married on couples in 99..and I thinks it was better than a 100,00.00 wedding. From the beauty of the property, and the people it was more than money could buy. This is no where near Kingston...it is actually on top of the island and Kingston is at the bottom. it is kind of far. Make sure to have someone take you if your not familiar with Jamaican culture, because it is hard to understand unless you know it. Food was great...three places to eat on resort plus....bar is open 23 hrs. Only thing I did not like was the DJ played alot of American music...an I am so into dance hall. Luckily he became a very good friend..and played everything I wanted EVERY night. Have fun...good luck....and this cost back in 1999 was $3500.00 for hotel and air...we spent $300.00 on wedding...don't remember flower cost....pictures depend on how many starting at $ 90.00. When we left we still had all out money we came with...UNTIL we hit the airport....cigs were $ 15.00 a carton and rum Punch to the limit. You will need $ 40.00 in cash to get back into the US. Hope this helps you. Ya Mon...Every-ting is Irie. Respect...lol ...I will be back for out 10Th
