EuroMillions is a pan-European lottery, launched by Camelot on Saturday February 7, 2004. The first draw took place on Friday February 13, 2004 in Paris. The UK, France and Spain were involved initially, but lotteries from Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland subsequently joined the draw on 8 October 2004.
Draws are held every Friday evening, and take place in Paris. Tickets cost €2 per play in most countries above. In the UK, it is the equivalent in Pound Sterling, rounded to the nearest 10p (although it has been fixed at £1.50 since the draw began). In Switzerland it is the equivalent in Swiss franc, rounded to nearest 10c (although it has been fixed at 3.20 CHF since the draw began). Prizes, aside from the jackpot, are sized according to participation per country.

there is the official euro milions and the online scams. so remeber if you did not eneter a lottery draw and or that lottery does not have your email address, then the chances are you have a fake email.
also worth rememebering that a genuine lottery will never ask you to pay anything to get your winings (other than the original pre purchased ticket price).
a lot of fake emails doing the rounds claiming to be lottery etc related. so be on your guard and never send anyone money or personal details. as it could indeed be a scam. if you have a ticket you will have a phone number and or address on the back of the ticket. only ever use that information should you think you have a genuine claim in a lottery.
i hope that helps a little. although camelot is i think a uk based company the official euromillions. but then i may be wrong.

Hi If you are asking because of an email you have received saying you have won loads of money ... do not answer it, do not follow the links and do not give and money over, bank/ credit card details over.
There is a scam at the moment where they say you have won millions but they need you to pay them to process the claim - think about it - if you had won that much money that they were in control of why would they need more from you? It has been reported that people have lost thousands of pounds by following instructions.
Be very wary and remember anyone can set up a web site or give you a phone number - it does not mean that it is authentic.
There is a Euromillions - if you want to play the official lottery site is
http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/home/home.do. i
I'd suggest that you play from here or your local newsagent where you can guarantee authenticity.
More info is on the above official site and an explanation is at wikipedia:

Hope that this helps

they are fake, they are Internet thief's , spread out emails that you win the lottery, and when you believe them they ask you to send your bank information, and they need to pay the tax's of your prize, so you need to send them some money before you got your prize , then bye bye
