As a die hard patriots fan, I think the greatest moment in football was the snow bowl of the 2001 season... Tom Brady's improbable 67 yard, 10 play drive in the last few minutes vs. Oakland to set up Vinatieri's CLUTCH 45 yard FG in ridiculous conditions to tie, and then ANOTHER drive in OT to set up his eventual game winning kick.

Hail Mary was cool, because little BC beat Goliath U of M.
Cal-Stanford, "The Play."
Boise State "Statue of Liberty" play.
But my favorite was the 2005 USC - Notre Dame game, the "Leinart Bump/Reggie Bush Push" play at the end of the game. Especially after 30,000 rabid fans ran onto the field, then were shooed off the field, because there were a few seconds left in the game.

John Elway's helicopter play. How could you forget that. That's the reason why John Elway (who has the same initials as me) is the greatest QB ever not Marino or Young or even Montana. Young was a system QB. Montana could fit in to a NE style offense, but would not be as great as he would be in the West Coast Offense. The reason why I converted from GB to Denver fan from the ages of 6.5-8. I soon switched to Tennessee. Now I'm an Eagles fan for life. I quit being a young and DEE DEE DEE bandwagoner.

Liverpool coming from 3-0 down at halftime to win the Champions Leauge on penalties after overtime - with the score being 3-3 at full time.
I know - different football - but the rush is the same - just less red socks.

There's a reason it's simply called "The Play". Nothing that has happened in football quite trumps it. Probably the ultimate example as to why the game is not over until the clock reads all zeros.
