It's possible the clockspring in the steering wheel is bad. There was a recall on some minivans, depending on what date it was built, it covered '95 to '98 models, but not all '98 models were covered.

If your vehicle falls under the recall, the clockspring is covered under a lifetime warranty (just the clockspring, though).

To find out if it's covered under this recall, call your dealer with your VIN and have them check for recalls. They should be able to tell you, be sure to ask specifically about this recall. You could also call Chrysler Customer Service at 1-800-992-1997 to find out.

Take it to a qualified mechanic that does air bag work. have them diagnose the problem and have them do the job. Air bags are very dangerious, even to trained professionals. If they go off, they go off at 200mi/h. They will either kill or cirpple you. Pay someone to do the job and diagnose the problem. You're life is worth it.

Blinking airbag light means there is a problem with your airbag system and it has been disabled to make sure it doesnt go off by accident. you should take it to a certified mechanic to get it checked and fixed, but first try taking off the negative battery lead for a couple minutes and reattaching it. This may help by resetting the computer in your car.

Mark is correct. Recall 985 clock spring. Just call dealer with Vin or first 10 digits. Easiest way to check if it's clock spring is. Try checking to see if your horn works. It wouldn't if the clock spring failed.

you could try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and then reconnect it. Other wise find someone with a scanner and have them check the code. is it flashing? or is it a solid light?
