Myself

2007-01-19 13:53:59 · answer #1 · answered by Zen 4 · 0 0

I think anyone and everyone in life who affects me (positively or negatively) also plays some role in inspiring me (or disinspriring me) to go in particular directions in my life. That includes the people I meet and know on a daily basis, and the people (fictional or real) who I read about or see in films or on TV. Even if I don't see someone or talk to someone everyday, those who have made a deep impact on me are always with me and are always part of my inspiration to continue forward.

My memories of myself as a child mostly. A child is probably the happiest person on earth, why? Because he has curiosity about the miracles he sees around him (everything to a child is a miracle because he or she knows no laws of nature to explain them) and the promise of life is full of opportunities and challenges to do, explore and conquer.

I am an old man so it would seem to others that my opportunities are limited but I am also a schizophrenic(DDD outpatient) and have this delusion: i.e. In spite of all medical and public knowledge to the contrary I believe in the supernatural and that I have been exposed to it. It is no detailed belief of a god or gods just the knowledge that there is something bigger than me and that something is wonderful beyond explanation. This gives me the assurance that what I have been taught about this world and have discovered on my own about life here is not all there is to it. The solving of life's miracles probably goes on after life ends here.

My inspiration is the realization that I can not yet bring myself to succesfully commit suicide -- until then I have no choice but to continue. I'm 42 and all my life society as a whole has rejected me.

My inspiration to continue forward includes my teachers, family, friends, and most importantly every new day and endeavor I come across...even if some of those endeavors are hell. Vacations and time with family are golden.

My son, myself and life itself. As long as you are alive there's always hope and new things to do and to discover, sure there will be bad days but you never know what good surprises life can bring to you. God plays an important role too, probably the main.

My Dad, an illiterate garbageman of Polish ancestry... ...started with nothing, HIS father left when Dad was 7 or 8--had to quit school to help take care of retarded brother...worked his butt off for us, worked up to a nice home in suburban Chicago, put me off to college, took care of Mom, when she was a blind diabetic, 'soldiered' on after Mom died, left a rich legacy for me and bro to extend.

Fred Phelps - he is the most backward person I can think of, and he inspires me to not be like him.
